1: When a gamer gets owned very bad or killed many times, that he/she becomes frustrated, yells and quits the game. Often found in Call of Duty, Halo, and Counter Strike.

1: When a player ditches out of a game because they are extremely frustrated with the games outcome.

  * e.g.,  ... Dude, did you just rage quit again?! Yea man, I can't stand not getting any kills

1:  The point at which one's frustration level has been pegged and they can no longer deal with the situation at hand and decide to give up or do something irrational to retaliate against whatever is causing you to rage quit. To get so pissed off at a video game that you throw the controller down and say "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" To get so pissed off at traffic that you fantasize about re-enacting scenes from Grand Theft Auto in real life while in reality you are pulled over to the side of the road pulling your hair out about to go on a killing spree. The most enraged state a human being can reach before going full scale meltdown on you.

1: To rage quit means to quit a game before the match is done. Mostly seen/heard of in first-person shooter games. People who rage quit are those people who play legitimately and can no longer take being killed by a lag switcher, camper or nolifer (one who does NOTHING else but play video games). Rage quitting also saves you from possibly throwing your controller and breaking it or yelling at the top of your lungs. Rage quitting is always the better option, especially if you're losing, because if you rage quit a match before it's over, you get a loss on your record. So rage quitting in a match that you know you're going to lose isn't necessarily a bad idea.

  * e.g.,  ... Nolifer: *kills the rage quitter 10 times before he can even kill anyone* Rage quitter: GOD DAMN IT! FUCK THIS! THAT GUY IS MUST HAVE NO LIFE WHATSOEVER AND DOES NOTHING ELSE BUT PLAY THIS GAME! I'M OUTTA HERE! *Rage Quit*

1: The thing no-lives do when finding out Fortnite ruined the chance of having a girlfriend and or when you get rekt'd by a little nooblet you were just 'playing' around with. Most often realized while playing Fortnite.

2: Originates from online chat programs where an individual would become so upset that they would use profanity at length at one or more other people and quit immediately to avoid any replies.

1: Quitting IRC/MSN/AOL or any other communication program in a 'rage'.

1: Throwing the poker chips, flipping the Monopoly board, unplugging the Nintendo, taking your ball and going home.

1: A conditon in which gamers, through steady provoking, simply cannot take being killed (cheaply or otherwise) anymore and leave a online game game mid-match. Mostly occurs in multiplayer first person shooters. I.E Call Of Duty or Halo. Warning signs preceding this action include

1: A thing that happens when one gets angry and doesn't want to play (or other verb) anymore. Can involve either the quiet rage quit of just leaving without saying anything, or the more loud type that many think of when hearing of "rage quitting". Obviously rage quitting may be frowned upon, but it's perfectly natural. All of us humans have emotions and some of us, when facing an unfair situation or are provoked, just can't stand it. Which is why either we take it out, or we quit. The only thing we can do is quit to be even the least bit respectful. That's where "rage quitting" comes from. We can't do anything about it, so we quit.
